Lyne Parent, co-owner of Élévaction, uses a motorized wheelchair. Élévaction was born out of an actual need; the product of real-life limitations and Lyne's sincere desire to overcome them.
Despite her disability, Lyne had a career teaching at a local University. A few years after having children, Lyne felt the need to give back to her community. Unfortunately, most non-profit organizations could rarely accommodate her wheelchair. This is when the idea behind Élévaction began to blossom!
"Our mission is to create a world where anyone can go anywhere, whether it be in their home or neighborhood. We want to do away with architectural barriers that stand in the way of people with disabilities. We want to do something about obstacles that are within our power to eliminate. Élévaction is a company, yes, but above all, it's a team of people who want to make the world a better place."
